The site is allocated for up to 950 homes within Bolsover Council’s adopted Local Plan, with outline planning permission granted in 2021.
The current phase of construction works will see 238 new homes eventually built. Phase Two will deliver circa 575 new dwellings, taking the expected total number of new homes across the whole site to 813.
Both Persimmon and Strata are currently building out the first phase off Marlpit Lane/Welbeck Road, with partner developer Stancliffe Homes delivering new homes off Oxcroft Lane.
A detailed planning application (known as ‘Reserved Matters’) is required to complete the Bolsover North development, addressing local need for new homes and delivering the new Town Park, space for both an extra care home and a new primary school, along with a spine road.
